Two Decades of Wisdom: Integrative Ayurveda, Holistic Nutrition & Empowered Healing

My name is Lakshmi Harilela. My journey with Ayurveda is not just a career—it's a lifelong calling that began over two decades ago. I first immersed myself in its wisdom in 2001, long before it became my professional path. This deep, foundational study became my anchor years later when my own health crisis unfolded.

After countless dismissive visits to doctors in Hong Kong, I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2018. Even surgery offered no relief, only reinforcing the limitations of a system focused on managing symptoms, not healing the root cause. It was then that I returned to my first love, Ayurveda, with a new purpose. I dedicated myself to advanced professional certification, becoming a Ayurvedic Nutritionist and Wellness Practitioner (registered with Kerala Ayurveda and NAMA), to complement my existing work as a certified Chef and a 500-hour Yoga Teacher (IYTA).

My unique approach weaves together:

  • Time-Honored Ayurvedic Guidance: Drawing from over 20 years of study to help you understand your unique constitution (Prakriti) and restore balance.

  • Chef-Crafted Holistic Nutrition: Creating practical, delicious, and nourishing dietary plans (Ahara) that use food as your most powerful medicine.

  • Empowering Wellness Education: Providing you with the knowledge and tools—from yoga and pranayama to herbal remedies—to become the author of your own well-being.

My own experience taught me that true healing is not found in a prescription, but in empowerment. I am here to guide you in reclaiming that power, offering a sanctuary of understanding and a personalized map back to your vibrant, whole self.

tri-dosha theory

According to ayurveda, the five elements of nature (space, air, fire, water, earth) are present in the human. These five elements are categorised as three components (doshas) known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The doshas relate to specific functions of the body. A balance of these doshas is thought to be required for optimal health. This is known as tri-dosha.

remove the source of the problem

The person needs to address triggers and toxins (Ama) and eliminate these from the deep tissues in the body before embarking on a herbal plan. This can have profound effects on the body and mind. (*note that toxic substances can also be in the form of toxic relationships and thoughts, not just food).
